I was looking for a good dummy to maintain my grappling training in these corona times without access to a training partner.\r\n I already own a wrestling dummy for throwing, but it\'s stiff arms and upright posture and heavy weight made it not suited for BJJ training. So i took a bit of a gamble by ordering this one because the price is great in comparison to other filled grappling dummy\'s, and let me tell you, that gamble payed off !\r\nI am very pleased with the Okami grappling dummy ! \r\nThe quality of the leather, the stitching and the filling is very good. \r\nThe kneeling seated position is one of the best features on this dummy and feels very realistic, especially when the dummy is in your guard. The 25 kg weight feels just right, heavy enough for resistance, but light enough for easy handling.\r\nAnother great feature is the construction of the shoulder joint combined with the bent arms. At first i thought the shoulder connection looked a bit weird, but when i started drilling i realized it is actually a very smart design, since you can bend the arm and shoulder to all directions, which works great for armbars, triangles, kimuras, americanas, head and arm chokes and the likes.\r\nWhen you put the dummy on its back, the bent knees give it a realistic posture to practice your passing skills. My favorite way to use the dummy is to drill closed guard and butterfly guard techniques i already know. But it\'s also a great tool to test out and play with new techniques i see on instructionals or on youtube. \r\nOf course nothing beats a live training partner and training in your own grappling school, but this dummy gives you a great plan B for times like these.
